I would say the best beauty rituals are always the ones you do yourself. This is not also so much fun, it also makes you know what you actually put on the largest organ of your body-the skin.
From Chili to Curcuma it all has it’s secret benefits.
Here some tips and infos to few spices we might take everyday while not being conscious of their beautiful benefits.
This lovely yellow root is a real protector warrior.
By using it in your meals (I love it in my scrambled tofu) you will be protected from free radicals plus it reduces destroyed cells at the same time.
On your skin it helps to heal scares and reduces wrinkles.
Simply add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon almondmilk with a bit of jojoba oil or agave and you have a lovely beauty mask to soften fine lines in your goddess face.
Ginger warms us up from inside.
Especially during cold times it is a very good daily companion.
You can put it in your carrot-appel juice for a great active start in the day.
It tastes wonderful in a Chai Soya Latte on a cosy afternoon.
Next to that it is a wonderful Beauty Booster.
It improves your skin tone.
The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits of ginger help you to balance out your skin irritations and reduces redness.
Blend some chunks of ginger in your food processor and wash your face and decolté from time to time with this ginger juice.
Nutmeg is a typical winter spice that is a must have in indian dishes or homemade mashed potatoes.
It also helps your hair to shine again.
Just add 2 teaspoon nutmeg to 1-2 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil and you made yourself a nourishing and moisturising hair mask that will make your hair glow like an angel.
Pepper is a happy maker.
By spicing up your meals with some black or cayenne pepper your body releases the dopamine hormone that makes you smile and lets your skin shine again.
It boosts your blood circulation and puts you into a good mood.
Grind some pepper into a little pot of organic cold pressed coconut oil and you spiced up your daily body lotion in one simple step.
Add one teaspoon to your warm milk and you have an ayurvedic treatment and lovely drink in one go.
Safran is known for its nutritional values in Vitamin A,C, Iron, Seelen and Zinc.
These are the best weapons against acne and problematic skin.
This power spice that almost looks like gold makes you really look golden!
Drink it or do a face mask like the one with turmeric (see above, just exchange the spice).
Mmmhmm the smell of vanilla makes you feel relaxed and calm.
Add some in your tea and it calms your taste buds in case you crave for sweets.
Mix some vanilla powder with 2 tablespoon of sea salt of the death sea and you have either a beautiful calming peeling or a soothing relaxing salt to take a bath in.
This is one of my favourite spices
I almost use it on a daily basis.
It is filled with antioxidants and that is why it does not only help your digestion it also heals hair and skin.
Plus the smell and taste of it just makes me HAPPY.
